Dress made from Capri Sun drink pouches

This One-of-a-kind dress made from Capri Sun drink pouches (created by designer Justina Blakeney of Compai) is being auctioned on eBay with all proceeds going to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
Saturday April 4th, will be the last day that you can bid on this dress.

This one-of-a-kind Capri Sun drink pouch dress was the featured creation at the CAPRI SUN Ready to Re-Wear Runway Show on March 25, 2009 in a show hosted by teen sensation AnnaSophia Robb (Disney's "Race To Witch Mountain") at the Miami-Dade Boys & Girls Club.

The show featured fun and affordable accessories, all created from CAPRI SUN drink pouches, made by TerraCycle, the eco-company that has pioneered the concept that any disposable material can be reused and created into something of value.
All proceeds from this auction will be benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

The dress fits into sizes 4-6 and measures:
Bust: 32 1/5
Hips: 37 in
Length: 31 in
In 2001, college freshman Tom Szaky founded TerraCycle in hopes of building a new, more responsible way of doing business. Since then, TerraCycle has revolutionized the industry by making eco-friendly and affordable products from waste materials. TerraCycle’s free collection programs, called Pouch Brigades, are beneficial to everyone involved.

That is so cool! It reminds me of some of the things that my high school art students have made, like a dress out of coffee filters that was absolutely stunning. I hope they got a lot of money for it.
