A good portion of the brown, organic, free-range eggs that my family consumes comes from Wilcox Family Farms which is why this article caught my eye.

The honesty of the article is what really appealed to me.
Wilcox, whose grandparents started the farm a century ago, does not pretend that the changes were inspired solely by a sense of environmental responsibility, though he says that’s part of it.
"We’re changing for two reasons," he said. "One, it’s good business, and, two, it’s the right thing to do.
"Twenty to 30 years ago, we weren’t very good stewards of the land," he said. "We’ve kind of seen the light."
What I think we all need to remember is that businesses need to make $ in order to continue to be a business and if we want organic foods to be reasonably priced then I think we have to support “big business” who are trying to do both.
At least that is my take on it.

We buy organic fresh eggs and love them. They're inexpensive, but I'd pay more to get this quality.
Glad to hear it Daisy! I am not sure that I can actually taste a difference but then again, it has been over a year since I have bought any other kind of eggs. I do like how reasonable priced they have become.
