Mission Playground Organic Clothing Review and Giveaway

Cute, Cute, Cute

Comfortable, Comfortable, Comfortable.

Those are just some of the words that come to mind when I think about my Mission Playground hoody and t-shirts. I should also add sustainable, green, eco-friendly, organic, practical, and soft (oh right, I have already mentioned that one).

Mission Playground is a conscious, eco-friendly lifestyle clothing company for men, women and children with an objective to raise awareness for the environment.

The earth is our playground; our mission is to preserve it.

This philosophy underlies our operations, from design to production to distribution.

Mission Playground kindly sent me a hat, hoody, and some t-shirts to sample (which I happily did during our long weekend in Canada). Please don't judge the cuteness of the clothes by my picture (it was toward the end of a long walk) although this seawater short sleeve 100% organic (with a child on a swing on the back of the tee) still looks pretty cute.

All of Mission Plyground's tees have message labels inside them. The message on this shirt reads, "Why conventional cotton is one of the world's most environmentally damaging crops. It uses large amounts of chemical fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides, which scorch the earth and contaminate the food supply via livestock feed and cottonseed oil. Certified organic cotton avoids chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and GMO's. It's better for the environment, for the health of farmers, and for consumers who might be sensitive to chemical residues in the fabric" How great is that? Spreading environmental awareness inside and outside of their shirts!

As much as I love the tees I think my favorite item is the Kenny Hoody

I found this hoody to not only be stylish but also practical. It keeps me warm, is soft on my skin, and easily goes with many of my casual clothes. This was the perfect light jacket for walking around Victoria (even though it was sunny and warm the ocean breeze gave me a chill). Now that I am home, it is my staple little league game watching jacket.
